Child birth education class invites expecting moms

RONAN — A comprehensive one-day childbirth education class will be held Saturday, July 26, at St. Luke Community Hospital.

The class begins at 8 a.m. and will cover pregnancy, labor, and the birth process with instructions for Lamaze breathing and relaxation techniques, stress management, and infant CPR among other things.

St. Luke Certified Childbirth Educator (CCE) Linda Cox says, “The class is open to anyone whether it’s a first baby or just a refresher course.” The RN notes that “ideally any expectant mother in the last three months of pregnancy should attend.” She goes on to add that all expectant mothers and their partners regardless of doctor preference or where the delivery will take place are welcome.

Those looking to enroll in the childbirth education class that will be held in the St. Luke Community Hospital downstairs large conference room should contact Linda Cox at 676-4441.
