Public invited to USDA Community Meeting on Wed., April 2
CHARLO — The public is invited to attend a USDA Community Meeting scheduled on Wednesday, April 2 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Leon Community Hall.
Dinner will be provided at 5 p.m. followed by USDA updates on the Agricultural Act of 2014 better known as the 2014 Farm Bill. Tribal Lands staff will be on site to answer questions about Tribal leasing opportunities and will be giving away a mineral tub as a door prize.
The meeting is hosted by the USDA State Food and Agriculture Council - Farm Service Agency (FSA), Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and Rural Development (RD) in partnership with the Intertribal Agriculture Council (IAC) and Confederated Salish & Kootenai Tribes (CSKT).
