Beneficiaries of 11th Annual Festival for Youth fundraiser selected

From Polson Rotary

POLSON — Polson Rotary has selected Mission Valley Aquatics, Boy Scouts of America-Montana Council and the Polson Elementary summer mentoring project as beneficiaries of the 11th Annual Rotary Festival for Youth fundraiser.

Mission Valley Aquatics will receive $12,500 of which $2,500 will be used to pay off the bleachers and $10,000 is earmarked for the purchase of “inflatables” so children can have more fun in the pool (and perhaps learn some basic water safety skills too).

The Boy Scouts will receive $5,000 for shooting sports equipment for the Cub Scouts, such as BB guns, bows, slingshots and safety equipment.

The Polson Elementary Mentoring Program will receive $2,500 for a summer program.

Representatives from these organizations and Polson Rotarians are selling raffle tickets to raise funds.

Raffle tickets are $25 each or 5 for $100 and are available at the Mission Valley Aquatics front desk or from a Rotarian. Purchasers select one of six prizes with a value of $1,000 each. The drawing will be held during the Polson Rotary chili cook-off Saturday, August 12 at Riverside Park 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. There will be up to 15 competitors with taster kits available for purchase as part of the fundraiser. A DJ will provide musical entertainment with other fun activities

Polson Rotary has raised over $270,000 for various projects through the Festival for Youth fundraiser.
