Séliš and Ql?ispé language revitalization meeting set for December 8

ST. IGNATIUS — The Séliš-Ql?ispé Culture Committee is inviting all those involved in Séliš and Ql?ispé language efforts to attend a Language meeting on Friday, December 8 from 10 AM to 3 PM at the Longhouse in St. Ignatius. Lunch will be provided.

Topics to be discussed at this meeting are:
• Updates from Séliš & Ql?ispé Language Programs
• Séliš and Ql?ispé language classes and trainings
• Sharing of materials from different programs (tables to be set up in room for people to lay out and share their materials.)
• Future language projects

The Salish language is in a very critical state. It is the prayers of our elders that we hold on to our language and culture as Séliš & Ql?ispé people. If we are to preserve, protect, and revitalize our language it will most definitely take all of us working together.
